New Habits, New Friends, New Ideas

Are you in a rut? Do you find yourself eating the same food, going to the same yoga class, hanging out with the same people, even thinking the same kind of thoughts, over and over?

Having a daily ritual can be safe and productive, but too much of the same thing can get old really quick. If you stay in that place for too long the whole world starts to feel kind a gray. It’s easy to light things up by adding something – a new habit, a new friend, or a new idea – to your life.

Go from dull to technicolor!
The magic of trying new things reminds me of one of my favorite aspects of the classic Wizard of Oz movie. Not the flying monkeys – those were definitely NOT my favorites! I watched The Wizard of Oz many times as a child, and I always waited expectantly for the part when Dorothy’s sepia toned world switched to brilliant technicolor as she opened the door and stepped out into the land of OZ.

You can transform your own world just by making a change or two. I recently started a project, a weekly podcast, and I’ve been having the best time thinking up new Psychic Insights for the Modern World to share with my friends and students.

New project, new friends, new ideas to share.
Yesterday I invited fellow Hay House author Davidji to be a guest on my next podcast. We had so much fun hanging out and recording our conversation about mindfulness, meditation, and mediumship. After he left, I realized how good the whole experience made me feel.

I felt so blessed. Not only was I recording my own podcast – a whole new enterprise for me – but I was able to include Davidji in my project. Our excitement to see one another and our enthusiasm for the topic came through loud and clear, and I think we did a great job.

As we shared our ideas, I imagined the ripple affect our words will have on listeners when the podcast is released. How many people will be inspired to embrace mindfulness and meditation – and how will that new knowledge transform them?

Lots of new ideas in one place.
Later that day, I got inspired all over again as I looked over the list of speakers who will be sharing their wisdom during the You Can Heal Your Life Summit. Talk about an opportunity to learn something new…

The first section of this free online event is all about personal growth, and it starts on May 4! You can pick and choose from your Hay House favorites or discover someone brand new to you.  Either way, there will be plenty of opportunities to shift your perspective and learn how to become the very best YOU —a sharper thinker, a bigger dreamer, a better friend—all with the help of modern-day teachers and philosophers like Gabrielle Bernstein, Brendon Burchard, Dr. Barbara De Angelis and Iyanla Vanzant.

The Summit is totally free, and you can be inspired by a new speaker every day. Like all good things, this opportunity to heal and transform your life won’t last forever – so sign up today so you can catch the first lessons when they drop on May 4th!
